Objectives:
Monitor changes in sediment storage in landslide runout zones at the channel interface, within floodplains and in the river channels in response to the Kaikōura Earthquake landslides.
Calibrate models of river channel hydraulics and sediment transfer by verifying key input parameters such as river discharge, sediment grainsize, channel roughness, and flood conveyance
Model development and validation through hindcasting morphodynamic change recorded in monitoring works, above
